The Padgett Messages Preservation Project
The Padgett Messages Preservation Project is a major undertaking involving several distinct subprojects, with work being performed by a various groups and people around the planet.
The first phase of this project involves the effort to physically preserve the Padgett manuscripts, which, being nearly 100 years old, will probably disintegrate before too long without some form of preservation.
At the very least, we hope to repackage these manuscripts in acid free boxes, with buffer pages of acid free paper placed between the pages of manuscript. There are progressively more expensive methods of preserving old manuscripts, and if our budget permits, we will investigate the possibility of pursuing these methods.
The second phase of this project involves scanning the documents and making them available on the Internet and on DVD. An interesting side project at this point will be to have the manuscripts examined by some handwriting specialists. They say it’s impossible to forge someone else’s handwriting style, and so this may provide some positive proof that Padgett was in fact channeling these messages.
The third phase is to re-transcribe the messages from the scanned images. Results of work so far shows that the original transcriptions of these messages were sometimes less than accurate, and even in the few messages that have been transcribed so far, some noteworthy corrections have been made.
The final phase of this project will be to incorporate these corrected transcriptions into a published volume of the Padgett messages, and also to make them available online.
The first three phases of this project are being done on a strictly nonprofit basis, either by individuals or under the auspices of the Divine Love Fellowship and/or the Church of Divine Birth. The final book publishing project may be handled by a for-profit publishing company. The reedited messages will of course also be available free of charge at various DLF web sites.

Volunteers and Contributions
If you're interested in helping on this project, please visit the Web Board listed above to find out what currently needs to be done.
Financial contributions will go to fund all portions of this project except for the book publishing. Moneys will first be spent on materials – most importantly, the acid-free storage materials. Funds will then be used to reimburse the volunteers for their other expenses. Funds might then be used to hire someone to scan the manuscripts, since we are finding it difficult to get a volunteer for this sizable job. We may also have to pay to have the manuscripts shipped to an appropriate storage place. There will be expenses involved in the later stages of the project as well, but for now we will concentrate on the jobs just described. We'll keep everyone informed about where the money is being spent as the project progresses. (Here's the finance/progress report)
